The Sea Guy acts as your single point of contact for everything your vessel needs — coordinating yards and mechanics, tracking scheduled maintenance, reviewing invoices and estimates, managing dockage, insurance, and documentation, and keeping a complete service history on every system aboard. Nothing gets missed, nothing gets billed twice, and you always know exactly what’s been done and what’s coming due. When you show up at the boat, she’s fueled, clean, and ready to go.

ABOUT THE CAPTAIN

Hey, I'm John!

With over 35 years of maritime experience, I’ve dedicated my life to the water. I began my career in the Merchant Marines and spent years as a Navy training officer, specializing in advanced ship handling and high-speed navigation.

After a lifetime of learning and teaching on the ocean, I founded The Sea Guy to bring professional, accessible, and comprehensive maritime services and training to fellow boaters. My goal is simple: to make sure you enjoy your time on the water safely and confidently, knowing you’re in expert hands.
